Keeping your device updated ensures you have the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements.
Check for Updates
Go to Settings > System > Software Update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, tap Download and Install.
Update Requirements
Battery level at 20% or higher (or connected to charger).
Connected to Wi-Fi (OTA updates are not available over mobile data).
At least 2GB of free storage for the update download and installation.
Troubleshoot Stuck Downloads
Cancel the download and restart it.
Toggle Wi-Fi off and on, then retry.
Clear the cache of the System Update app: Settings > Apps > System Update > Storage > Clear Cache.
If the issue persists, try downloading on a different Wi-Fi network.
Troubleshoot Failed Installs
Restart your device and retry the installation.
Ensure you have sufficient storage (at least 2GB free).
If the update repeatedly fails, try installing in Safe Mode (hold Power Off to access).
Tip: Enable auto-updates in Settings > System > Software Update > Auto-Update to receive updates overnight while charging.
