Keeping your device updated ensures you have the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements.

Check for Updates

Go to Settings > System > Software Update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, tap Download and Install.

Update Requirements

  • Battery level at 20% or higher (or connected to charger).

  • Connected to Wi-Fi (OTA updates are not available over mobile data).

  • At least 2GB of free storage for the update download and installation.

Troubleshoot Stuck Downloads

  • Cancel the download and restart it.

  • Toggle Wi-Fi off and on, then retry.

  • Clear the cache of the System Update app: Settings > Apps > System Update > Storage > Clear Cache.

  • If the issue persists, try downloading on a different Wi-Fi network.

Troubleshoot Failed Installs

  • Restart your device and retry the installation.

  • Ensure you have sufficient storage (at least 2GB free).

  • If the update repeatedly fails, try installing in Safe Mode (hold Power Off to access).

Tip: Enable auto-updates in Settings > System > Software Update > Auto-Update to receive updates overnight while charging.
