Display and touchscreen problems can range from minor software glitches to hardware issues. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to identify and resolve the issue.
Screen Flickering
Disable Adaptive Brightness: Go to Settings > Display and turn off Adaptive Brightness. Set brightness manually.
Check the refresh rate: Go to Settings > Display > Refresh Rate. Try switching between Standard (60Hz) and High (120Hz) to see if the issue persists.
Boot into Safe Mode: Press and hold the power button, then press and hold "Power Off" until "Reboot to Safe Mode" appears. Safe Mode disables third-party apps — if flickering stops, a recently installed app is the cause.
Update your software: Display bugs are often fixed in software updates. Check Settings > System > Software Update.
Unresponsive Touchscreen
Clean the screen: Remove screen protectors temporarily and clean the display with a soft, lint-free cloth. Moisture and debris can interfere with touch sensitivity.
Increase touch sensitivity: Go to Settings > Display > Touch Sensitivity and enable the option (useful when using a screen protector).
Force restart: Press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button simultaneously for 10 seconds.
Calibrate touchscreen: Go to Settings > Display > Touch Calibration and follow the on-screen instructions.
Dead or Stuck Pixels
A dead pixel appears as a permanently black dot; a stuck pixel appears as a fixed color dot.
Try running a pixel refresh cycle: Go to Settings > Display > Screen Maintenance > Pixel Refresh.
If the issue persists, contact HandySwap support.
Note: Cracked or physically damaged screens are not covered under the standard warranty.
